PermaRock welcomes Rockwool’s Business Manager for EWI, off-site and supply chain, Jon Powell to its Training Academy
Earlier this week, we were very pleased to welcome Jon Powell from ROCKWOOL UK to our Training Academy, where he was keen to learn some of the finer points of installing the latest PermaRock Mineral Fibre external wall insulation systems.
PermaRock first developed a mineral fibre external wall insulation system in conjunction with ROCKWOOL UK four decades ago, and have championed the use of this A1 non-combustible insulation ever since.
Jon’s visit tied in with one of our scheduled internal staff training sessions where Jon joined some of our departmental staff from across the PermaRock business in getting to grips with some basic installation techniques, supported by a detailed classroom-based presentation delivered by Mitch Vasey.
In the practical session, Jon and the others in attendance dived into each application process with vigour, and whilst they probably won’t be giving up their day jobs, everyone agreed that the theory and practical sessions were invaluable in gaining an insight into how the materials we supply are used in practice both as part of new building designs and also in retrofitting and upgrading people’s homes.
