Why PermaRock External Wall Insulation?

PermaRock systems have been designed for use on high and low rise buildings, for traditional and non-traditional forms of construction, including, solid wall or cavity wall, dense and no-fines concrete, brick, stone and metal, tile or timber clad structures.

Aesthetically and technically, we provide the latest innovations in render technology to enable buildings to be visually uplifted and systems are available in differing types and thicknesses of insulation to suit project specific requirements.

When specifying a PermaRock external wall insulation system on your project you can be assured of many advantages:

Market-leading Support - System Design & Specification

Prior to the commencement of a project, we like to liase with all relevant stakeholders to discuss and agree the requirements for a scheme. Through the undertaking of visual surveys, in-situ pull out tests and the production of project specific U-value calculations, detailing, specifications and methods statements, a scheme design is agreed.

PermaRock then provide method statements and specifications that are tailored on a project-by-project basis to meet the project and archetype requirements, including thermal resistance, fire performance, exposure and durability, etc.

Building Regulations / Energy Company Obligation (ECO) Compliance

PermaRock systems have undergone extensive testing to relevant British Standards, European Standards and have been independently assessed by Building Research Establishment (BRE) – Certificate No. 158/12, to ensure their compliance with current UK Building Regulations in terms of technical performance, application techniques and methodologies.

Our systems are approved for use in all locations in the UK including those considered to be ‘very severe exposure’ (Level 4) for wind driven rain and for high-rise application and are compliant to the Green Deal Code of Practice and PAS 2030:2017 for use under the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) and approved under the Solid Wall Insulation Guarantee Agency (SWIGA) Guarantee and Kinnell ECO Guarantee schemes.

Improved Thermal Performance

U-values quoted in residential and non-residential buildings show that a fabric first approach remains critical when upgrading retained thermal elements on existing properties.

The increased focus on lowering of U-values brings to the forefront the benefits of using PermaRock external wall insulation, which can contribute to key requirements such as improved thermal performance, achieving low air permeability of the building envelope and limiting thermal bridging.

Marketing-leading Quality & Installation

PermaRock systems are installed through our nationwide network of trained and registered installer companies.

We have in excess of 200 installer organisations of varying sizes located in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland providing full geographical coverage throughout the United Kingdom. Many are PAS 2030:2017 certificated to undertake Green Deal and Energy Company Obligation (ECO) works and operatives are trained through our Solid Wall Academy to ensure they have a thorough understanding on the installation of our systems.

On-site Technical Inspections

Schemes and operatives are subjected to routine site visits by PermaRock’s Technical Services team to review installation standards and compliance with PermaRock specifications and guidance. In addition, we also undertake extensive on-site competency checking to monitor operatives on-going performance.

Extensive Aftercare Support

The successful installation of a PermaRock system is not the end to PermaRock’s involvement with a project.

After project completion, PermaRock provides a project specific ‘Handover’ document for use by the owner/occupier relating to the system(s) installed and energy savings advice.

This document details how maintenance can be carried out for routine tasks such as cleaning, effecting minor repairs, modifying or adding new fixtures and fittings and how to get the best out of the newly installed system, ensuring that the home is well ventilated post installation.

PermaRock Sales & Technical Representatives are always available to discuss any aspect of a scheme at any stage and to provide the necessary support or assistance on existing or future schemes.
