Permarock systems present an excellent opportunity to reduce carbon emissions in buildings.

They significantly improve thermal performance and energy efficiency.

By helping to minimise heat-loss through the building envelope, our systems reduce the need for energy-intensive heating and cooling. This reduces the need to use fossil fuels, which helps to cut the CO₂ emissions associated with space conditioning.

In addition to energy-reduction, our external wall insulation systems protect buildings against weathering and thermal stress, extending their lifespans and reducing the carbon footprint associated with frequent repairs or refurbishments.

Our Product Sustainability

Energy Saving

Project calculations and real-world monitoring consistently show that our EWI systems are a highly effective means of reducing carbon emissions.

They can be designed to achieve extremely low U-values for new buildings and also to retrofit existing buildings to greatly improve thermal performance.

Durability

Durability icon

Certificated Permarock external wall insulation systems have a design life of in excess of 30 years, providing a strong, durable and long-lasting finish to your project. Once correctly installed, our systems are low-maintenance, helping to minimise whole-life costs. A design life of 60 years is also achieveable, subject to specification.

Supply Chain

Supply Chain icon

We continuously monitor, assess and review our supply chain partners, including raw material suppliers, waste recycling contractors, transport companies and others.

By reviewing their environmental performance, we ensure that we utilise the most commercially sustainable components and services across all our operations.

Materials

Materials icon

We source our raw materials from sustainable sources wherever possible. Waste from the manufacture of our cement-based components is reformulated back into the manufacturing process.

Our Permarock insulation boards:

  • Are free from CFC (chlorofluorocarbons) and HCFC (hydrochlorofluorocarbons)
  • Have zero ozone depletion potential (zero-ODP)
  • Have low to zero global warming potential (zero-GWP).

Waste Management

We seek to use minimal amounts of material for both product packaging and packing for transport.

We operate an Environmental Management System which complies with the requirements of ISO 14001:2015 for the design, manufacture and supply of external wall insulation systems, renders and surface treatments.

Recycling

We are deeply committed to minimising our environmental impact. Within our offices and manufacturing facilities, we recycle a wide range of materials as part of our ongoing efforts to operate responsibly and sustainably.

Our recycling initiatives are an integral part of our internal processes, reflecting our dedication to environmental stewardship at every level of our business.
