Permarock SiliconeUltra K Finish
Permarock SiliconeUltra K Finish represents the state-of-the-art in external through-colour renders.
Based on a hybrid binder system of organically crosslinked nano-quartz particles and silicone emulsion, SiliconeUltra K Finish exhibits outstanding resistance to the accumulation of dirt. Photo-catalytic particles help actively break down dirt particles which are then washed from the surface by the normal effects of weathering. The result is a finish that stays looking cleaner for longer than conventional silicone, acrylic or mineral renders.
Permarock SiliconeUltra K Finish also contains a preservative that inhibits the growth of algae and fungus, and therefore helps to protect the coating against deterioration and unsightly growths.
Lightweight, water repellent, and with excellent water vapour permeability, it will also resist attack by aggressive air pollutants.
Nano-Quartz Technology
Incorporated in our SiliconeUltra Renders, Nano-Quartz technology provides a step change in the performance of exterior renders and coatings.
Organically cross-linked nano-particles form a compact, mineral-hard, three-dimensional quartz-matrix structure that protects against soiling and keeps façades looking cleaner for longer. The special silicone resin/binder combination produces a robust, vapour-permeable surface that helps to keep properties weatherproof and looking good. By resisting discoloration and the accumulation of dirt, it helps to minimise the costs associated with cleaning and redecoration over the lifetime of the building.
In addition, nano-quartz technology renders and coatings incorporate inorganic pigments that offer superior light- and colour-fastness and enable the use of dark colours on insulated external wall insulation systems. (Lightness factors as low as 5 are now possible).

Colours and Finishes
Available in an extensive range of colours from the Permarock Colour Chart, Permarock SiliconeUltra K Finish is available with a K (stippled) texture. Darker colours (Lightness Factor <20) are unsuitable for use with EPS systems.
Where utilised on Mineral Fibre insulation systems or Permarend render systems, these darker shades may also require an additional coat of Permarock SiliconeUltra Façade Coating.
Permarock Façade A1 Colour Range
Our Façade A1 colour range provides 500 colour shades with the highest colour brilliance and enhanced colour stability. Formulated entirely with inorganic pigments, the colour range is designed to complement Permarock’s SiliconeUltra through-coloured renders.

Fire Safety
Permarock SiliconeUltra K Finish (1.5mm) is assessed to EN 13501-1. When used with Permarock Mineral Fibre External Wall Insulation, the resulting system achieves an A2-s1,d0 classification. Consequently, it is suitable for use on buildings of any height, including those with a storey height above 11 metres.
Nano-Quartz Technology
-
The nano-quartz lattice surface resists the accumulation of surface soiling. Loosened dirt particles are removed naturally by wind and rain action.
- Increased resistance to mould and mildew.
- Lasting colour retention – inorganic pigments and nanotechnology offer class-leading performance in relation to colour depth and longevity.
- Achieves Colour Fastness Code A1. The highest quality levels for binders (Class A) and pigments (Group 1) are achieved, as classified by BFS (Federal Commission for Paint & Property Protection).
- Available in 500 colour shades – for use in conjunction with Permarock’s A1 colour range.
- Highly water vapour permeable – allows the substrate to “breathe”.
- Low consumption – up to 20% less material consumption compared to conventional acrylic and silicone renders.
Coverage Rates
K 1.5mm
Approx. 1.8 – 2.0kg/m2
Method of Application
Supplied pre-tinted to the required colour, Permarock SiliconeUltra K Finish is supplied ready to use and is applied onto the prepared surface by stainless steel trowel or using spray equipment. The applied finish is then rubbed-up and textured with a plastic float.
Application / Drying Conditions
Temperature (material, substrate and ambient) during application and drying: +5 °C to + 30 °C. Application should not take place in direct sunlight, in strong wind, fog, high relative humidity or when rain or frost is imminent. The material dries by water evaporation and film formation.
Drying time: at 20°C and 65% RR: Surface dry after approx. 24 hours. Cured, re-coatable and ready for stress after 2 – 3 days.
Packaging
Permarock K & R Primer is supplied, pre-tinted to the required colour, in 25 kg plastic pails.
Permarock SiliconeUltra K Finish is supplied pre-tinted to the chosen colour in 20 kg plastic pails.
