Method of Application / Drying Conditions
Cementitious base coats are primed with Permarock K & R Primer. Clean cement-free base coats do not require priming.
The wall area to be treated is marked out with string lines, usually to standard bricklaying bond patterns and dimensions. Permarock Brick Slip Adhesive is applied onto the wall and combed horizontally with a notched trowel. The adhesive application rate is approx. 3 – 4 kg/m2.
The brick facings / corners are applied into the freshly applied adhesive and floated into place, ensuring that any air pockets are excluded behind the tile. The adhesive mortar is brushed around the tiles to ensure that all edges are sealed, and the mortar within the joints is smoothed using an appropriately sized semi-dry brush. The adhesive is applied as necessary to ensure full sealing around the tiles.
Once the adhesive mortar has dried, the joints are pointed using Permarock Pointing Mortar. (As standard, this is supplied in Cement-Grey but other colours are available).
Packaging
Permarock Brick Slip Adhesive and Brick Slip Pointing Mortar is supplied, ready-mixed, in 25 kg plastic buckets.
