For over four decades, Permarock external wall insulation systems have proven their effectiveness on healthcare buildings across the UK.

Our systems afford designers and building managers a number of important benefits in helping to create a comfortable and fire-safe environment for care buildings and their occupants.

  • They utilise A1 non-combustible insulation, achieving a system fire classification of A2,S1-d0
  • They are suitable for use without height restriction
  • They permit exceptional levels of thermal performance
  • They are designed to combat condensation and mould growth
  • They help to minimise energy costs on space-heating
  • They are suitable for use on both new and existing, buildings
  • They deliver excellent weatherproof protection
  • They are durable, flexible and impact-resistant
  • They resist the accumulation of dirt so they help to minimise cleaning and maintenance costs
  • They give designers immense freedom in terms of colour choices and finishes

Permarock Mineral Fibre EWI systems (for Masonry, Concrete and Sheathed Light Gauge Steel Frame substrates) are assessed as suitable for use in healthcare buildings, meeting the requirements of:

  • Health Building Note 00-10 Part B (design/specification for walls and ceilings in healthcare),

  • HTM 05-02 Firecode (fire safety for healthcare buildings).

This sector-specific assessment, combined with our wider full third-party certification with KIWA, means that our mineral fibre EWI systems are suitable for use on hospitals, clinics, doctors’ practices and other healthcare schemes.

Our external wall insulation systems enable designers to meet the highest standards of energy efficiency. In the healthcare sector, they are often specified as part of hospital new-build and extension projects. They have also been used on projects that deliver thermal ugrades to older buildings, where quick installation and compliance with healthcare, fire and hygiene regulations are crucial.

Based on mineral fibre insulation, these systems are suitable for a wide variety of building types and locations. These include high-rise buildings – i.e. with a floor height of 11+ metres.

For projects where external insulation is not required, our render systems and specialist finishes are still excellent choices. They combine effective and long-lasting protection against weathering with an extensive range of colours and finishes.
