On qualifying projects, Permarock external wall insulation and render systems are covered by our materials guarantee.

Permarock external wall insulation systems are suitable for use on publicly-funded schemes such as:

  • Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund (WH:SHF)
  • Warm Homes: Local Grant (WH:LG)
  • Optimised RetroFit Programme (Wales)
  • ECO

They are certified through the KIWA Agrément to ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations. (This includes use on high-rise buildings). They meet the requirements of PAS 2030 / PAS 2035 for use under energy efficiency initiatives supported by utility companies and the UK Government.

Our systems are registered with the leading guarantee providers, including the Solid Wall Insulation Guarantee Agency (SWIGA).

These include approval for use on high-rise buildings (11+ metres), in conjunction with installers approved by guarantee providers to install on high-rise buildings.

Aftercare Advice

Our experience of delivering energy efficiency schemes on occupied properties has shown the importance of starting an effective behaviour-change programme for tenants and residents as early as possible. We recommend beginning the communication and educational process prior to works commencing. It should then be maintained throughout the delivery programme and upon completion of the works. In this way, project stakeholders can ensure that residents and tenants maximise the benefits of their new energy efficiency measures.

If routine maintenance of the system is undertaken in line with our Aftercare and Maintenance Booklet, we would expect our systems to perform for the lifetime of the building to which they are applied.

The booklet is a tailored document that is issued to the property owner / occupier on completion of the project. It explains how the system can be maintained in order to ensure optimum performance throughout its lifespan. It incorporates the following information:

  • How to make the most of the newly insulated home – including benefits / best practice explained (thermostat/radiator TRVs settings, etc), ventilation, further energy saving tips and advice etc.
  • Periodic checking of the system – what to look out for
  • How to take care of the system
  • How to clean the surface of the system
  • How to attach fixtures / fittings
  • Redecoration of EWI system (where applicable)
  • What to do if there is damage to the property
  • Guarantee information

In the unlikely event of a performance issue arising post installation, we will arrange to inspect the installation and provide a report on any findings or recommendations for repair.

Our Technical Services Department is always available to discuss completed projects and to provide you with any necessary support or assistance.
