Sustainable Investments Gains ‘Fastest 50’ Listing for Third Successive Year

We’re delighted to announce that Sustainable Investments Ltd, Permarock’s parent company based in the North West, has once again been named in Ward Hadaway’s North West Fastest 50 Awards. Organised in conjunction with Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, the listing celebrates growth and innovation by some of the region’s most successful privately-owned businesses.

The achievement is particularly impressive because this is the third consecutive year in which we’ve been listed. It also marks our fourth time overall since 2017.

This year’s awards ceremony took place on 10 July at Manchester Hall, attracting delegates from across the North West. Construction was one of the most strongly-represented sectors, as were engineering, retail, leisure and technology.

The Awards rank the 50 best-performing independent companies in terms of their profitability and turnover over the past three financial years.

Liz Bottrill, Executive Partner in Ward Hadaway’s Manchester office, said:

“I extend my congratulations to Sustainable Investments Ltd and all of the businesses recognised in this year’s North West Fastest 50. Every company on the list has earned its place by growing consistently and profitably, often in conditions where progress has required careful decisions and real resilience. These awards recognise the businesses prepared to invest, hire, enter new markets and make the decisions needed to turn ambition into sustained growth.

“What stands out this year is the intent behind that growth. Companies across the North West are building stronger teams, improving how they operate, and taking a longer-term view of where they want to go next. Sustainable Investments Ltd should be very proud to be part of that story, and we are pleased to recognise its achievement.”

Reflecting on the award, company owner and chair Derek Horrocks said: “To be named in the North West Fastest 50 for three years running is a great accolade. It’s also a clear sign that clients value our approach to quality, teamwork and customer service. They work with us because they appreciate our values, our commitment and the results that we produce.

“I’m proud of what we are achieving together – not only in commercial terms but in terms of our ability to improve living standards, communities and the environment. Besides financial performance, we continue to pursue many other important metrics of success. Examples include health and wellbeing, reduced living costs, carbon-savings, pride in neighbourhoods, and people’s access to career-building opportunities. Our impacts are important and far-reaching, and I know we can extend them even further in the years to come.”
