EXTERNAL WALL INSULATION SYSTEMS /
MINERAL FIBRE SYSTEM

The PermaRock Mineral Fibre External Wall Insulation System incorporates fire-safe mineral fibre insulation boards that are manufactured from filaments spun from molten rock, without the use of CFCs/HCFCs and which have zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP).
PermaRock Mineral Fibre Insulation boards are water repellent and are non-combustible in accordance with the BRE DAS 131 and are classified Class A1 under BS EN 13501-1, 2002.
The system is extremely versatile and is suitable for use on new build projects and for remodelling existing buildings, both high-rise and low-rise, and for most construction types including solid and cavity wall construction, timber and metal frame, and Structural Insulated Panels (SIPS).
The system is particularly suited to hospitals, schools, high-rise and public buildings where the highest levels of fire resistance and non-combustibility are required and where the added acoustic noise reduction properties of mineral fibre insulation are of benefit.
The system is also recommended for use on walls that are required to ‘breathe’ or where vapour passage is required.
The PermaRock Mineral Fibre System offers a number of key advantages:
- Low thermal conductivity insulation:0.035 - 0.036 W/mKdepending on density of insulation.
- Class O fire rating – non-combustible insulant classified as Class A1.
- CFC/HCFC Free and Zero ODP.
- Fully accredited through BRE-Certifications – Certificate No. 029/95 & BBA Certification Scheme - Certificate No. 87/1800.
- Dimensionally stable.
- Acoustic noise reduction properties.
- Water repellent with high water vapour permeability.
- Low embodied energy.
PermaRock’s Mineral Fibre system is recommended for multi-storey high-rise buildings and where optimum performance in relation to fire is of prime concern.
