Fire-Tested Drained Cavity Track-EPS System
Lightweight metal framing is used more and more frequently as a fast track construction method, bringing the quality control benefits of off-site, pre-fabrication to the construction site.
PermaRock has developed systems that meet the specific needs of this form of construction, especially to meet the requirements of NHBC and other insurers whose requirements require the incorporation of drained cavities.
Such a system is PermaRock’s Track-EPS Drained Cavity System which has been tested in accordance with BS 8414-2: 2005 Fire performance of external cladding systems – Part 2: test method for non-loadbearing external cladding systems fixed to and supported by a structural steel frame and is assessed in accordance with BR 135 ‘Fire performance of external thermal insulation for walls of multi-storey buildings’, Second Edition 2003 for us on such construction forms.
