EXTERNAL WALL INSULATION /
FIRE-SAFE /
One of the major considerations for specifiers when choosing materials for building facades is the fire performance of the building envelope products. Particularly important is the performance on high rise, multi-storey buildings, where the criteria described in BR 135 ‘ Fire performance of external thermal insulation for walls of multi-storey buildings’ should be referred to.
PermaRock systems have been designed for both traditional and modern methods of construction, and we offer systems that have been tested to the latest Standards and which satisfy the requirements of the Building Regulations on masonry, timber and metal frame constructions.
PermaRock also offers drained cavity insulation systems to meet the requirements of NHBC and other building insurers who require drained cavities on metal frame constructions: PermaRock’s drained cavity system meets the BR135 Annex B 2007 requirement when tested in accordance with BS 8414 Part 2 2005.
PermaRock Mineral Fibre, PermaRock Lamella and PermaRock Phenolic Systems are fire-safe during all phases of installation, not only after the final coat of render has been applied.
PermaRock’s Mineral Fibre system is recommended for multi-storey high-rise buildings and where optimum performance in relation to fire is of prime concern.
